First blog: who I am and why you need my blog in your life.

I’m just your regular curly gal who had no idea what I was doing with my hair until about a year ago. I figured, I’ll just watch YouTube videos and do exactly what they do and it should all work out. It didn’t. I was(at least) skeptical enough to stop using rice water when it worked exactly the opposite of how it was supposed to.

Anyways… I won’t be writing about DIYs much because I don’t do them myself. Instead, I want to focus on the main “cores” that are the foundations for healthy hair. I’ll be sharing methods for hair growth, length retention, and taming frizz –for my curlies who like their curls poppin’. Personally, I like my styles to have some frizz and you might too.

But, not all frizz is good as it can indicate that your hair needs moisture which is why I’m also gonna talk about hydration and moisture retention(like my life depends on it). Also, congratulations! If you’re a little bit of a nerd like me and you like knowing exactly how things work on a molecular level, you’ll get to know about all the science behind kinky/curly hair, and how products work in our hair.
